Say It Ain't So Joe

So the news is saying Sarah won the debate? Really? Were they watching the same debate that I was? Did she win because she didn't give blank stares when asked questions? Did she win because Joe kept himself in check? I don't know how they grade a debate to decide a winner...

Did you watch the VP debate? What'd you think? I think I have heard every way that Sarah Palin can say "Also" in her accent. She said it like 500 times. Ya Betcha she can't answer a question that was asked of her. She had all the buzz words ready.

Say it ain't so Joe, I don't think I could handle her being our next Pres if McCain is elected and then kicks it not long after. This ain't the PTA, ya betcha!

I completely agree, when me and Adam woke up this morning and saw she supposedly won we were SHOCKED. If she wasn't so pretty and started "fashion trends" with her glasses and shoes and had that "sweet accent" would people still think she did so great?

She lost me at "nucular." lmao!

I understand there are talking points Palin had to hit, but even her "folksy" comments were scripted (like asking very quietly if she can call him Joe, then using her cutesy line "Say it ain't so, Joe"). That was no accident. The only real improvisation I saw was during her "Drill, baby, drill" tangent, and you could tell she wasn't sure how to finish the thought.

Where's the independent thought and grasp of the issues? Yeah, she didn't screw up, but is that how low we've set our standards now? Then again...

My mom, a sweetheart who doesn't speak out about politics very often, told me a few days ago that choosing Sarah was kind of a "slap in the face." Like they thought just any woman would suffice.

Rant over. :)

Oh my!!!! I have it DVR'd. I even have to do an assignment on last nights speech's for a class. I can't wait to watch!!! From what I heard no one really liked her and TOTALLY felt she was completely scripted.

Cute accent? You really think so? I told Brett it feels like I'm watching "Fargo" every time I hear her.

*wink*
