Such An Amazing Day In History!

Today is a day that we will remember forever. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent. There is no way you can say this day isn't significant. There is change in the air. You can feel it. There is optimism that hasn't been with us for quite some time. We are witnessing history and it's so moving. I am feeling incredibly patriotic today. We will have our tv on all day, watching all the activities of the Inauguration. The kids are excited about it. We had our refresher lesson this morning at breakfast, they know today is the day that Barack Obama officially becomes our President. They love the fact that The First Lady has the same name as me. They were excited when they heard his name mentioned on the radio this morning. We'll be eating lunch and watching our 44th President take the Oath of Office.

There are some, that are still so small-minded and ignorant and I just find it hard to believe people still think and believe this way. Especially in this day and age. I have tried to always raise my children to treat people the same. That people are not defined by the color of their skin. They are defined by the way they live their life and the impact they leave on us. I am proud to be witnessing this great change in our American History with my children. I'm excited for their futures. I'm excited to see the changes this man can and will make.

There is no way to open the eyes of the ignorant. They believe they are right, no matter what. The best I can do is educate my children and teach them that people are not a color or a gender. That everyone is the same. There are low lifes in every race and gender. That's the way of a people - not a color.

I couldn't agree more. I'm feeling very patriotic, and I'm trying to forget about all the nastiness that's been spouted about government in general today!

BTW, Way to go, Dylan! That's awesome!

Hahaha... I just looked at the word verification. It's osessess. I feel like I'm in a typing class again!

That damn verification. I finally removed it. It's a pain!
