I Finally Ran Away!

I finally did it! I finally started running. I've been talking about it for weeks, months - a long time. For some reason I've had a wall up about this. Just couldn't get my butt in gear to start. So I did it this morning. Took the kids to school. Jon went back to work. Big kids back in school. Had the whole house to myself!! Dusted off the treadmill and ran for a whole 6 minutes! Wahooo!! I made it for 0.35 miles. My legs feel a bit rubbery. I'm outta shape big time! Every bit of flab was jiggling like a Jell-o earthquake. It was rough. I probably would have made it longer, but there is a strange smell in the basement. It started after Tyler went to school. I noticed it upstairs in the kitchen, followed the smell and narrowed it down to around Tyler's entertainment center in the basement. Smells like something died. I can't find it or anything to cause this smell of death. I have a strong sense of smell and so this is driving me crazy. Ugh! I'll probably head downstairs and run again while the littles nap. So maybe I could get a half mile in today! lol I don't think anyone said it had to be all at once! lol

So Five Left Feet - how far have you run so far??? Have you started yet? We need to meet up at North Canton and run together - but let's wait until I don't look like a jiggling dork first - m'kay?

Let me go look at my log to see how far I've run so far. Ok, got it. 0 miles. Yup, that seems about right. 0 feet even. Right now I'm trying to crawl out from under this massive $%&@!*# sinus headache. N Canton sounds fun; you thinking maybe Price Park? I used to run there. Or at least that's where I started to run before. I was just getting some pretty good distance when I found out I was preggo w/the boys.

Good for you! I did a whole minute on the treadmill at the gym a few weeks ago.. Of course everytime we go it seems someone gets sick so we don't get back for a while.. No doubt my jiggle is worse then your jiggle...

Oh, I hate that first time back on the exercise machine! I can usually only go for ten minutes or so and I feel like my legs are going to burst into flame.

Good for you for doing it! Maybe you'll motivate me to run again... eventually....
